Huge TOTEM POLE by Andrew Natrall
Back on the market..... What an incredible piece!
This is a very old Totem Pole, even though, or because of the fact that it's old, it's very impressive. Have a close look at the images - these pieces are really difficult to find. It's signed at the back with carved signature by Andrew Natrall. Andrew Natrall was a member of the Squamish / Coast Salish First Nations on Vancouver Island. He was a medicine Man, born 1895 who was very knowledgeable in the history and culture of the squamish Nation. Estimated age for this piece is 1950's!!!
It's made of solid cedar wood, the painting probably used to be really vibrant but the patina shows the darkening now which gives it even more character.
Measurements: 50" tall !!! 4 1/2" x 5" Pole, 26" wingspan. The base is showing a frog, which is very unusual - just a beautiful piece, that clearly impresses.
