Truly highest quality piece of Art - solid cedar wood, amazing

THUNDERBIRD with Human spirit - wall art by the late Master Artist Ernie Henderson from the Kwagiulth First Nations.

The grain of the cedar shows beauttifully through applied dark stain, it's polished and just shows a majestic expression. Ernie really spent a lot of time and attention to detail on this one. 

Measurements: 25" x 11" x 1/2" (64 x 28 x 1.5 cm)

Meaning: The Thunderbird symbolizes supernatural power and is believed to be the  dominating force behind all of natures doings. It's  a mythical creature and only the most prestigious and powerful Chiefs are allowed to have the Thunderbird as a crest.

This is an older piece but is in great condition
