Interesting, vintage and unique hand carved Art piece by late Kwagiulth First Nation artist Ernie Henderson

HAWK MAN Mask

solid cedar, the carving is VERY deep and even though Ernie died way too young, he was very experienced and talented and so enjoyed this art, always keeping within the traditional ways of his family's style of carving - keeping the history alive was so important to him.

This piece does have a stabilized crackline coming down through a natural knot  on the left side which has been stabilized by the artist with (invisible) wooden pegs. It's difficult to see and takes nothing away from the beauty!

Measurements: 11" x 8" x 8" (28 x 21 x 21 cm)
