Large SALMON wall art carving by Nootka Master artist Brian Bob

Richly inlaid with Abalone, beautifully polished to accentuate the natural grain of the wood (yellow cedar, flat grain). Very deep carving, gorgeous flow, superb craftsmanship!! Signed at the back - prepared for wall hanging.

Measurements: 28" x 9" x 1 1/4" (71 x 23 x 3 cm)

Meaning: The Salmon symbolizes prosperity, renewal and fertility. They are one of the most important and highest respected animals of all since they have been the primary food source from the beginning of time to the Northwest Coast First Nations.
