THUNDERBIRD Sculpture (3D)

carved all around, very powerful and rich expression, majestic! Excellent masterpiece by the late Haida Nation Artist Darrell LeBlanc - The Quality is truly amazing. so much detail and yet simple, elegant and just - beautiful, the dark stain just accentuates the natural grain of the cedar. This was one of his very last pieces - it's just very special and the images don't do it justice.

Measurements: 15" tall, base is 6 1/2" x 4"

Meaning: The Thunderbird symbolizes supernatural power and is believed to be the  dominating force behind all of natures doings. It's a mythical creature and only the most prestigious and powerful Chiefs are allowed to have the Thunderbird as a crest.
