Gorgeous, articulated RAVEN MASK, by Alfred Robertson, a master artist, from the Kwakwakaw' wakw First Nation.

It's really a beautiful piece, it's decorated with so much cedar bark from the cedar tree, the raven is adorned with cedar rope, the beak is articulated and can be opened by pulling on the lining, makes a beautiuful powerful clapping sound. the raven itself hand carved and hand crafted.

It's signed on the inside, prepared for wall hanging.

Measurements: head/wood only is 29" long, 8" high, 7" deep, not including the cedar bark. Including the cedar bark it's 30" tall!!!!

Meaning: The Raven is known to be the transformer, trickster and creator. In the Kwakwaka'wakw culture the Raven is known as the messenger of the sky and famous for being a somewhat mischievous glutton. He's always out to please himself and to have a good time. He's very adventurous.
