WOLF BOX, by the Kwakiulth First Nation female master artist Sarah Robertson

The bentwood style box is carved all around, on all 4 sides, the painting in powerful black and red against the gorgeous yellow of the pine, so clean with very deep lines. The expression and detailing in the wolf itself is gorgeous. It's signed underneath.

Measurements: taken on top of the lid: 13 1/2" long x 7 1'4" deep x 9" (high) (34.5 x 18.5 x 23 cm)

Meaning: The Wolf represents loyalty, strong family ties, good communication, education, understanding and intelligence. Of all land animals, the Wolf has the strongest supernatural powers and is the most accomplished hunter. The Wolf is a very social and communicative creature; he uses body movement, touch and sound.
