Bob, Wilson (1931 - 2011)

Late Wilson Bob, born in 1931, was the hereditary chief of the Snaw-naw-as First Nation, originating from Deep Bay, British Columbia. He is the father of 8 sons and 2 daughters. One of them is Brian Bob, also a very well known artist with great talent. Wilson was married to Fran Touchie, from the Nuu-Chah-Nulth nation. Wilson Bob worked as a logger, he was an ardent fisherman and band administrator for the Nanoose First Nations for many years, and was the Treaty Chief Negotiator for 15 years.
