George, Detreck (1973 - 2021)
Gone way to soon.... our friend Detreck will be missed dearly, our sincerest condolences to his family.
Detreck George is a member of the Coast Salish First Nation, originating from Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada's Pacific Northwest Coast, He is part of a large family of well known artists and his pieces are easy recognizable in the detailed carving and powerful use of traditional colors. It was always such a pleasure to meet with him and his lovely wife. He is a very kind and friendly soul and I always looked forward to meet and see what he created.
