Hamilton, Ron (Kike-in)

Ron (Ki-Ke-In) Hamilton is a member of the Nuu-chah-nulth First Nations (Nootka). He was born in 1948 on the Ahaswinis Reserve. He has made a vital contribution to the preservation and the continuation of threatened Nuu-Chah-Nulth art and design. The nephew of George Clutesi, Hamilton apprenticed with renowned carver Henry Hunt. A fisherman by trade, Hamilton is employing the sea serpent as a characteristic motif. Ron is a carver, graphic artist, and painter.
