Horne, Dale

Dale Horne is a member of the Tsimshian Nation. He originates from Metlakatla on Annette Island, near Ketchikan, Alaska. Metlakatla is the only Tsimshian community and reservation in Alaska. From an early age, Dale worked closely with Tsimshian elders, including Master Carver Jack Hudson, to learn Northwest Coast design and develop his carving skills. Dale has been carving masks, bentwood boxes and paddles for over twenty years, and his dedication to his craft is reflected in the fine craftsmanship of his work.
