Mack, Andrew

Andrew Mack is a member of the Toquaht (Nuu-chah-nulth) First Nation. He started carving very early and now has many years of experience. Over the years he has carved paddles, totem poles (Ketchum, Idaho and Vancouver Island), various masks and is very well known as an artist and carver who’s always staying true to tradition and history. The Toquaht are the people of Toquaht Bay, Mayne Bay and western Barkley Sound, and are one of the Nuu-chah-nulth Nations who have lived along Vancouver Island's west coast for over 10,000 years
