BEAR
Easy recognizable as one of Shane's pieces of art, the details, the clean lines, the expression, as always close to perfection since he is paying so much attention to details. Shane used pine for this carving. Have a look at the chip/knife marks - they also proof authenticity, talent and craftsmanship - truly highest quality carving - it's elegant and gorgeous, hand painted in very vibrant colors. Made and prepared for wall hanging, hanger already attached, signed at the back.
Measurements: 11" diameter, 3/4" thick
Meaning: The Bear is a symbol for power, courage, physical strength and leadership. Warrior's e.g. are known to wear bear claw necklaces which meant protection. In Haida culture the Bear is referred to as "Elder Kinsman" and was treated like a high ranking guest.
