Superb piece of true Indigenous Art:

Large Model Totem Pole

showing the eagle with it's wings wide open, also showing the Whale spirit on his body, above the Welcome figurine, showing the so important copper symbol on it's body. The carving is truly highest quality. You can see the knife marks - no machines used, everything fully hand carved, hand painted, traditional design

by First Nations artist GILBERT DAWSON.

The totem is signed underneath the base, which is carved as well. There is a small natural, non-threatening crack in the back of the eagle, have a close look. It's absolutely nothing unusual and doesn't affect the beauty or the quality of the piece - it's red cedar. This piece is a really impressive, vintage, authentic beautiful artwork.

Measurements: 24" tall, wingspan 21", the pole itself is 5" x 4", the base is 9 1/2" x 6" (61 cm tall / 53.5 cm wings / 13 x 10 cm pole / 24 x 15 cm base)
