Chief Mourning Miniature Mask - PENDANT

by master artist Silas Coon from the Kwakiulth First Nation, Kingcome Inlet, BC. 

Easy recognizable as one of Sila's pieces of art. So detailed, incredibly clean painting. Have a look at the little moon on the top of the head and the tears in the Chief's face. The expression is real, sad, clearly showing a chief in mourning. These miniatures are a lot of work, not many artists are taking the time to make them, especially not with these details.
