What an incredible piece! The carving and depth is spectacular. I'm showing it come to live from start to finish... have a look

WOLF

yellow cedar, fully hand carved, hand painted, designed and signed by First Nation Artist Shane Flood Baker.

I have never seen a piece so incredibly detailed and carved with so much love, patience and perfection. NO machines used, none! Shane took his time on this one, he was working on it for many many months and the result is astonishing. I'll try to show as many close-up of the depth in the carving lines as I can, but still, the images won't do it justice.

You can see the knife finish, you can see every chip he made with the knife, just think about how much work this is to carve in out and on top of that, Shane added another even deeper line on every contour of the wolf which gives it an extra shadow and brings the wolf out of the board even more. I have seen many of those rounds over the years, but this one is really unbelievable. Shane's truly remarkable talent, combined with outstanding craftsmanship, clearly a great eye for design and colors and love for the history and tradition of his peoples - this is it! Coated for protection, prepared for wall hanging, Shane signed at the back.

This piece of art makes every room - it's 28" in diameter and 1 1/2" thick, beautiful cedar (71 cm diameter, 4 cm thick)

Meaning: The Wolf represents loyalty, strong family ties, good communication, education, understanding and intelligence. Of all land animals, the Wolf has the strongest supernatural powers and is the most accomplished hunter. The Wolf is a very social and communicative creature; he uses body movement, touch and sound.

Note: USD amounts estimated based on Bank of Canada average exchange rate, updated weekly, Invoice in CAD, no overseas shipping
