This is an old piece! Estimated Age is 1950's-60's

hand carved by Charlie Mickey (Charlie passed away in 1988) a member of the Hesquiaht Band of the Nootka Nation.

Incredibly detailed and unique in design - showing the thunderbird on top. Below the thunderbird is the Killer whale over the bear over chief. Charlie painted the cedar wood in a dark brown which is not seen that often. It does have 2 minor restorations, one on the thunderbird's curl and one on the wing - both are not visible from the front, only visible if you look really close on the inside.

Measurements 28" x 11" x 4" (71 x 28 x 10 cm)

Shipping overseas is available, but please contact me for costs - Thank you (info@mymondotrading.com or 778-350-3555)
