BEAR wall art carving by Squamish (Coast Salish) First Nation artist Shane Flood Baker.
Easy recognizable as one of his pieces of art. Absolutely superb quality - you won't find any flaws. Please have a close look at the images even though they don't do it justice. Shane used pine wood for it. Very detailed, close to perfection, lines, the painting is amazing, he pays so much attention to details. Shane signed at the back, carved in the front, it's prepared for wall hanging, hanger already attached. Dated 2023. Just a wonderful expression. Shane painted in vibrant colors, adding a rich green rim. Truly gorgeous
Measurements: 15 1/2" x 11" x 1"
Meaning: The Bear is a symbol for power, courage, physical strength and leadership. Warrior's e.g. are known to wear bear claw necklaces which meant protection. In Haida culture the Bear is referred to as "Elder Kinsman" and was treated like a high ranking guest.
