Adorable Mother LOON carrying BABY
art carving by Nootka (Nuu-chah-nulth) First Nation artist Brian Bob - it's free standing and looks fabulous e.g. standing on the fireplace mantle - but also looks great on the wall. Beautiful reddish stain to accentuate the natural grain of the wood. Inlaid with Abalone (Mother of Pearl), also showing the salmon symbol in mother loons body. Gorgeous piece of authentic Indigenous art. It's always so great to see these new pieces coming in, thank you so much, Brian, always a pleasure!!
Very deep carving, gorgeous flow, superb craftsmanship!! Signed at the back - carved in the front, just a powerful and gorgeous piece, depicting love and patience. So detailed. Also prepared for wall hanging.
Measurements: 20" x 9" x 1"
