Bear, catching salmon
wall art carving. Shane always pays so much attention to details, see the knife marks throughout the piece, beautiful expression, The carving lines are very clean - so much carving in this piece, he spent so many days working on it. The choice of colors for the painting is soft, yet vibrant, absolutely clean, close to perfection. The black painted frame just makes it more outstanding. Have a close look please, but the images don't do it justice. Made and prepared for wall hanging, signed at the back, hanger attached.
Measurements: 17" x 11" x 1/2"
Meaning: The Bear is a symbol for power, courage, physical strength and leadership. Warrior's e.g. are known to wear bear claw necklaces which meant protection. In Haida culture the Bear is referred to as "Elder Kinsman" and was treated like a high ranking guest.
