FROG

Absolutely gorgeous design. He spent a lot of extra time in the carving and in the design of this one. Everytime we meet, Shane surprises me with something new and different. I really love this design. Of course, fully hand carved, hand painted and signed at the back.

Very clean carving lines, he mixed soft with vibrant colors - it just works and looks fabulous. You can also clearly see the knife marks, beautiful. Truly superb quality! Signed at the back. This piece looks marvelous on every fireplace mantle or entrance - a great statement piece.

Measurements: 10" high, 9" wide, 5" deep

Meaning: The Frog is a very important Symbol in the Northwest Coast Art and Culture. Since he is living in two worlds, water and land, the Frog is revered for his adaptability, knowledge and power to traverse worlds and inhabit both, the natural and the supernatural. Frogs are used by Shamans as spirit helpers who provides the voice of the people. Frog's songs are believed to contain divine power and magic. When a frog is touching his tongue with another creature (which is often shown in Native Art) it represents the exchange of knowledge and power
