Steelhead trout, Winter run – with fly

Easy recognizable as Shane's work, he puts so much love and detail into it - incredibly clean lines, beautiful piece of wood - highest quality carving and painting. Very rich in expression. Carved in front, signed at the back, made and prepared for wall hanging. 

This is a new and very unique design and choice in color. truly stunning, Shane captured the "natural" colors of the fish when swimming in different light reflections. Shane applied 4 layers of paint, and depending on how the light is shining on it it looks different. He also knife finished - please have a close look to appreciate the craftsmanship and superb quality of this piece. And to add a little extra, did you see the little fly in the Steelhead’s mouth?
