Truly SUPERB quality - have a close look at the pictures please, the carving on this piece of art is really great!
LOON BOWL,gorgeous little piece by Kwakiulth First Nation artist Don Dawson, originating from Alert Bay. near Vancouver Island, Canada's Pacific Northwest Coast, British Columbia.
This bowl is dated 1994, signed underneath by the artist who paid so much attention to details. The eyes of the loon are inlaid with abalone (mother of pearl), the wood is gorgeous, stained and polished. the carving lines are VERY clean - I really love this little piece. It's a vintage piece, not new, so it shows some very minor signs of gentle handling). It's in great condition! Did you see the Eagle in the Loon's tail?
Measurements: 12 1/2" x 5" x 5"
