BEAR MOTHER MOON MASK 

hand carved, guaranteed authentic AND - carved out of one solid piece of wood, the Bear's face is not mounted on top!! - Fabulous craftsmanship by artists Randy Stiglitz and Janice Morin (signed by both, dated at the back), members of the Coast Salish/Cree First Nations. Both have many years of experience in this art, and both are very skilful and talented artists who are well known around the world. This piece of art proves the love both artists have for this art, so detailed and the expression is just mesmerizing! Decorated with small copper pieces, beautifully detailed carving, the moon is adorned with rope, Wood used for the mask is alder. The painting is extremely clean and close to perfection. Vibrant and powerful colors, contemporary painting, traditional design, painted killer whale design, have a look, I will let the images speak for themselves - powerful expression, isn't it? 

Measurements: 18" x 16" x 8" 

Meaning: The Bear is a symbol for power, courage, physical strength and leadership. Warrior's e.g. are known to wear bear claw necklaces which meant protection. In Haida culture the Bear is referred to as "Elder Kinsman" and was treated like a high ranking guest.
