Gorgeous piece of Art by Shane Flood Baker, a member of the Coast Salish/Squamish First Nations on Vancouver Island, and a member of a large and well-known family of artists. 

OSPREY

superb wall art carving. Shane always pays so much attention to details, beautiful expression. He didn't fully sand this piece but knife-finished it. It really shows how much work went into it. The Osprey is painted black with green and red, still showing the beautiful yellow of the wood. Most of the carving lines are not painted which adds to the form and outline of the Osprey. Made and prepared for wall hanging, signed at the back, hanger attached.
