Beautiful yellow cedar
Spirit EAGLE Totem - hand carved, designed and hand painted by Tsawout Indigenous artist Bear (Doug) Horne.
As always, a very powerful piece - very impressive, deep carving, elegant and rich expression - just beautiful! The color of the cedar is outstanding, it's polished and prepared.
Solid piece of yellow cedar, hollowed out at the back, signed at the back, dated 2026. Minor natural lines/cracks, nothing unexpected since wood is always "moving", they are non-threatening and take nothing away from this beautiful piece.
Measurements: 4 ft tall x 18" wide x 10" deep
Meaning: Eagles mate for life and are therefore also seen as a symbol of lasting love and dedication. It is told that the Eagle end their own life in despair when the mate is lost.
