Beautiful Eagle, by Peter Smith, from the Musgamagw Dzawada'enuxw - Kwakiulth First Nation, originating from Gilford Island. Peter is very passionate about his culture and traditions and is proud to say that he has Hereditary Chief standing passed on to him from his father, the late Chief Charles Smith.
Fully hand carved, hand painted, beautiful yellow cedar. Peter's works are easy recognizable due to his mixture of traditional and contemporary as well as his attention to detail, clearly showing his 25+ years of experience. The carving lines are superb, the painting traditional and vibrant. Please have a close look at the images provided to appreciate the details and the quality. Peter was recently featured in the Compass Magazine, Winter edition, a Magazine published and produced on Vancouver Island, British Columbia's Pacific Northwest Coast of Canada.

Meaning: Eagles mate for life and are therefore also seen as a symbol of lasting love and dedication. It is told that the Eagle end their own life in despair when the mate is lost. Eagle feathers are used in the most important ceremonies, a display of respect, courage, Chieftainship and wisdom. The Eagle is the ruler of sky.
