BUMBLE BEE Mask
with lots of cedar bark, hand carved, hand painted by Hereditary Chief David Mungo Knox, originating from Fort Rupert, British Columbia, Canada. The carving is detailed, "stings" in the forehead and nose, signed at the back, hanger already attached. The eyes are inlaid with copper, and please look at the little copper tongue sticking out - adorable.

Meaning: The Bee symbolizes a strong sense of community and honesty and happiness. In the celebration of life ceremony, Bee dancer play an important role. They usually are busy roaming around, trying to amuse people, dance around other dancers and try to catch, touch and then sting them.
