Superb quality piece of authentic, Indigenous art! 

Beautiful new mask, titled: Raven and the light - by Randy Stiglitz, a member of the Coast Salish First Nation.

It's always such a pleasure to see Randy and his partner Janice. Both are very kind and we always enjoy sitting together, telling stories. Randy works together with his partner Janice Morin, herself a highly accomplished Cree artist. Both are making a great team and are designing and carving the most beautiful pieces of Indigenous art. 

As always, the mask is fully hand carved, hand painted. The face and eyes are accented with copper and lots of the traditional cedar bark. Instead of the natural wood color, the cedar bark is painted in black which gives this piece an incredible presence. Then please have a close look at the Raven Sculpture on top. It's carved all around, detailed and beautiful. The Raven is holding a crystal in it's beak, carrying the light. A very beautiful detail!

Just a very beautiful piece, hand carved with superb craftsmanship. Both clearly have an eye for design and are very creative and talented. Both signatures at the back.
