Soooo adorable

Raccoon Puppet by the Kwakiulth Artist Rupert Scow Jr.

Very interesting and very creative piece of Indigenous Art

This little Raccoon is sitting on a wooden base. The body is made of linen and adorned with cedar bark, the face, the arms and the feet are hand carved out of cedar wood, gorgeously painted. The arms are moving a little once you pull on the string that is attached underneath. Just a truly amazing and cute special piece!

Measurements: 19" long, 8" high, Base is 10" x 6", the piece is dated 1996, showing only very minor signs of gentle handling and aging.
