This is one of the most beautiful pieces I came across in a while.... Have a look at this

DANCING WOLF by the Coast Salish First Nations Artist Doug Horne.

This sculpture is so masterfully carved out of one solid piece of wood - yes, the base is not mounted - it's ONE piece! You can really see the Wolf dancing - looks very alive, happy and proud expression - just wonderful!

The carving is so deep and clean, the oil accentuated the natural grain of the wood, no paint needed - simple, elegant - a masterpiece!

Measurements: 15" tall, 8 1/2" wide, 4" deep

Meaning: The Wolf represents loyalty, strong family ties, good communication, education, understanding and intelligence. Of all land animals, the Wolf has the strongest supernatural powers and is the most accomplished hunter. The Wolf is a very social and communicative creature; he uses body movement, touch and sound.
