Lewis, Jacob
Master carver Jacob Lewis is a member of the Coast Salish First Nation, he belongs to the Squamish (Cheakamus) tribe. He was born 1955 and started carving at a very early age. His favourite medium is cedar and he transforms it into unbelievably beautiful sculptures, rattles, totem poles, Masks and Bowls - stunning pieces of Art. He always integrates different characters into or surrounding a larger piece of character - once you have a close look, you see the incredible details.
