Eagle Sculpture by Jacob Lewis

SOLD

Hand carved by Jacob Lewis out of one solid piece of yellow cedar- This is highest quality Craftsmanship

This Eagle sculpture has such a majestic and at the same time elegant expression, only a true Master can capture. It is richly inlaid with Paua Shells (Abalone) which just makes it even more outstanding. It's powerful painted in black with the moon image on the front. But as if that's not enough, even the moon does have Eagles surrounding it - have a close look. The back is also elaborately carved in very fine details, inlaid, painted - just have a close look at the images I provided - they speak for themselves - it's exceptional! Signed by the Artist.

Measurements: 23"  tall, 11.75" wide, 6.5" deep

The Eagle is a sacred and noble creature representing power and prestige to the First Nations people of the Northwest Coast. It symbolizes grace and wisdom and has a special and direct connection to the creator. Eagles mate for life and are therefore also seen as a symbol of lasting love and dedication. It is told that the Eagle end their own life in despair when the mate is lost. Eagle feathers are used in the most important ceremonies, a display of respect, courage, Chieftainship and wisdom. The Eagle is the ruler of sky.
