SALMON RUN

cedar wall art carving by master artist Jackson Robertson from Kingcome Inlet, a member of the Tsawawteineut First Nation (Kwakwakaw 'wakw)

The details are just so amazing, the flow and the carving lines, the design, the finish, the expression - just wonderful. I'm counting six salmon, swimming around each other. This piece of art is made and prepared for wall hanging, hanger already attached, signed at the back. It does have a tiny restoration on one edge of a corner - only visible from the back. Please have a look at the images and enjoy them!!!

Measurements: 29" x 11" x 1/2" (74 x 28 x 2 cm)

Meaning: The Salmon symbolizes prosperity, renewal and fertility. They are one of the most important and highest respected animals of all since they have been the primary food source from the beginning of time to the Northwest Coast First Nations.
