Here is a gorgeous hand carved SALMON - you won't find these anywhere - they are very rare in this large size!! Superb Quality!!! Carved to perfection by Alfred Robertson. He used vibrant color, still showing the natural grain of the wood. Have a look at the images please, this piece is truly stunning!
Carved and painted in the front, signed at the back. Have a close look at the images, although they don't do them justice.
Measurements: 37" x 15" x 3" (94 x 38 x 7.5 cm) Thick and solid, also look great standing e.g. on the fireplace mantle, thick enough, they don't need to be hung up on the wall....
Meaning: The Salmon symbolizes prosperity, renewal and fertility. They are one of the most important and highest respected animals of all since they have been the primary food source from the beginning of time to the Northwest Coast First Nations.
