very interesting and very well carved

SHAMAN MASK

by the artist Vern Point from the Chehailis First Nation. The carving itself is really masterfully done - the depth in the face and the expression, beautiful. The mask is adorned with the traditional cedar bark. I especially like the detail that he painted the inside of the eyes red, it really stands out and just adds so much to it - it's the little things.... It does have some age to it. It's dated May 2003 but it's is beautiful condition

Measurements: 10" x 7" x 3" (26 x 18 x 7.5 cm)
