The painting is so vibrant; the Whale design with the face on the right and the tail on the left side of the moon is clean and powerful. The expression is beautiful, the eyes are mesmerizing. Just a very unique and high quality piece of Indigenous Art. On the upper right side of the rim, you can see the carved R and J – Rupert’s initials, but he also signed it in full at the back.
Rupert used 5 (!) coats of Danish oil and 6 (!) coats of bees wax finish for the polish. The moon is prepared for wall hanging.
