Jeffrey, Rupert

Rupert Jeffrey is a member of the Gitskan First Nation, originating from the Skeena River area, a culture considered to be part of the civilization of the Pacific Northwest Coast although it lies in the interior rather than on the coast. The Gitskan peoples used to be known as the Interior Tsimshian. Rupert is very much involved in keeping his culture alive and is carving with lots of passion in the traditional way. His pieces are highly sought after and admired world wide.
