Hand carved wooden SEAL Feast Bowl by master carver Randy Stiglitz, a member of the Coast Salish First Nation, North American, Pacific Northwest Indigenous Artist
Incredibly detailed, very vibrant, highly decorative, inlaid with Abalone, super presize carving lines, deep cuts, deep bowl, superb craftsmanship, handy and beautiful base.... there is so much to say about this bowl, I don't even know where to start. The inside of the bowl is hand painted showing Seals swimming in the ocean, the seal's eyes are inlaid with Abalone, some smaller pieces of Abalone all around the bowl on each side. Randy always pays so much attention to details, it's just a pleasure to see his artwork. Hand carved, hand painted masterpiece!!! It's signed with carved signature underneath the Seal's head.
Oh, and even the rim is inlaid with Abalone....
Measurements: 13" x 7 1/2" x 8 1/2", base is 14" x 9" x 1" (33 x 19 x 21.5 cm, base is 36 x 23 x 2.5 cm)
