Truly exquisite Model.

Medicine Man Rattle, depicting the Raven at the back, the Chief above, the Kolus in the front and the Wild Man underneath, presented on a mirrored base by master artist Silas Coon from Kingcome Inlet, a member of the Kwakiulth First Nations who credit's his cousin Beau Dick and George Hunt Jr. as his teachers and mentors.

Silas was working over years on this one. The details are just so amazing. NOTHING is glued... all hand carved and cut out!!! Just think about the quality of the craftsmanship. Did you see the inlays of Abalone (mother of pearl)? The rattle has a very soft sound. The mirror shows signs of aging!!

Handwritten by the artist underneath the base: "A rattle for a medicine man, who heals the sick people"

Measurements: rattle: 7" x 2 1/2" x 1 1/2", base 7 1/2" x 3 1/4", combined height 5"
