SUN wall art carving
very intricate and detailed carving, with Thunderbird's and Wolf's design on the rays - old growth red cedar.
This piece is truly special. Fully hand carved, designed and painted by the Gitskan First Nation Artist RUPERT JEFFREY.
Rupert did not use any screws or nails on this piece. He carved 3 separate pieces which do combine, held by wooden pegs, to this beautiful sun design. The sun's face is decorated with copper, additional copper accents above the sun's face, have a look. The rays are very thin (1/4") and delicate, just a superb piece of art. Signed underneath the Sun's face by carved Initials and handwritten. This is a new piece. Images are taken in sunlight
