Large SALMON wall art carving by Nootka Master artist Brian Bob

Beautifully detailed carving, the eye is inlaid with Abalone, polished to accentuate the natural grain of the wood, he used sitka spruce. Deep carving, gorgeous flow, superb craftsmanship!! Signed at the back - prepared for wall hanging. The salmon has a total of 11 (eleven!) inlays. 

Measurements: 34 1/2" x 11" x 1 1/2"

Meaning: The Salmon symbolizes prosperity, renewal and fertility. They are one of the most important and highest respected animals of all since they have been the primary food source from the beginning of time to the Northwest Coast First Nations.
