Cedar Portrait Mask, by Coast Salish artist Howard LaFortune Sr., brother of Doug LaFortune and member of a very large family of accomplished Indigenous artists.

This piece is really special. He truly put a lot of work into the mask. The carving lines are very professionally executed, and the added Abalone eyes are outstanding. He told me that he carefully chose the Abalone, red cedar, signed at the back, authentic native art direct from artist. Please have a look, I'm showing a picture with Howard holding his mask. A very nice piece, very impressive quality.

The mask is displayed on a black wooden frame (the frame is not included - if you are interested in the frame, it's a vintage frame, shows some signs of gentle handling, but for an additional $45 CAD, we can add it, please contact me before buying). A base is also available for the mask, please see images, the base is included for free.
