LARGE and impressive - Wow-piece!!! Unique and rare find - Fully hand carved

LIGHTENING SNAKE (serpent) - inlaid with abalone, new design by master artist Brian Bob from the Nuuh-chah-nulth First Nations.

This piece truly is incredible - powerful presence, inlaid with abalone (mother of pearl). Brian signed it at the back. Brian pays so much attention to details and the cuts are so deep and clean, it clearly shows his many many years of experience and his talent for this art. Just a gorgeous piece of Indigenous Art from the Pacific Northwest. The images are nice, but they don't do it justice. Carved in front, signed at the back, hanger already attached.

Brian used a vibrant red paint, washed out so you can still see the grain of the wood (sitka spruce). The carving is absolutely superb - this piece was a lot of work.
