So incredibly detailed!!!! New design by Silas Coon
Thunderbird
small but superb quality! Hand carved, hand painted, beautiful grain in the wood, absolutely fabulous expression. Silas loves to use pine and spruce because once it's polished, it really shows off the grain of the wood which only adds to the beauty. Abalone inlays and signed at the back. It's made and already prepared for wall hanging.
Measurements: 13" x 5" x 1" (33 cm x 5 cm x 2.5 cm)
Meaning: The Thunderbird symbolizes supernatural power and is believed to be the dominating force behind all of natures doings. It's a mythical creature and only the most prestigious and powerful Chiefs are allowed to have the Thunderbird as a crest especially among the Kwagiulth, Nuu-Chah-Nulth and Coast Salish people.
