Exceptionally beautiful piece of yellow cedar is used as the base for this master carving and just simply gorgeous piece of true Indigenous art:

Supernatural Raven by Kolten Khasalus Grant from the house of Lilawagila from Gwa'yi, Kingcome Inlet. (Please read his biography provided below, it's quite impressive!)

Circular wall art carving - the carving clearly shows that Kolten is one of the best artists in this art and just loves what he's doing. He designed, hand carved and signed this piece at the back. Its prepared for wall hanging, hanger already attached. The design shows the Raven in side view, with his left wing wide open, ready to fly.... beautiful. The rim of the yellow cedar is hand painted in a rich red which clearly accents the gorgeous color of the wood even more and just gives it the perfect frame. You can also clearly see Kolten's knife marks on parts of the carving. Very masterfully done, proving highest quality craftsmanship. Enjoy the images
