Messenger of the Kumugwe - large cedar mask by Kolten Khasalus Grant from the house of Lilawagila from Kingcome Inlet, British Columbia's Pacific Northwest coast.

In the artist words: " This mask is to eradicate negativity and only allow positive energy to flow in the space.  This being originates from the undersea kingdom and comes under direction of the bringer of wealth "

Please have a close look at this gorgeous grain in the cedar - Kolten picked the perfect piece of wood for this mask. The sanding and carving is close to perfection, very powerful and rich expression. 

Kolten even added teeth - using Operculum shell, beautifully shaped. The black horse hair he added to it, just adds to the strength of the face. And I just so much love the eyes - they are looking right through you. Kolten signed and dated the mask at the back, it's prepared for wall hanging. 

Measurements: 16 1/2" tall, 13 1/2" wide, 7" deep (not including the horse hair)
