SPIRIT EAGLE - hand carved, designed and hand painted by Tsawout Indigenous artist Bear (Doug) Horne.
As always, a very powerful piece - very impressive, deep carving, elegant and rich expression - just beautiful! The white paint on the cedar is outstanding.
Solid piece of yellow cedar, hollowed out at the back, signed at the back, dated 2026.

Meaning: Eagles mate for life and are therefore also seen as a symbol of lasting love and dedication. It is told that the Eagle end their own life in despair when the mate is lost.
