June 21 - Indigenous Peoples day !
This year's theme is qatᶿɛnxegəs (qats-sun-wheegus), which means to unite or come together
On this day we recognize and celebrate the unique history, heritage, resilience, outstanding achievements and diversity of First Nations, Inuit and Metis across Canada.
Many cities in Canada are less than a hundred years old. But Indigenous people have lived in this land for more than a hundred centuries – so let’s honour the native peoples who first brought humanity to this great land.
