It just arrived and is absolutely exquisite!
5 ft large cedar wall art carving by Kolten Khasalus Grant from the House of Lilawagila in Kingcome Inlet, British Columbia's Pacific Northwest. This piece would also look fantastic as a table top....
Title: A Window into Prosperity
Signed and dated at the back, prepared for wall hanging
Kolten carved this piece under the guidance of his uncle Klatle Bhi.
The cedar wood panel was given to Klatle Bhi by John Livingston, approximately 20 years ago. He was holding on to it until the moment was rigth and it was time to give it to his apprentice and nephew Kolten. And Kolten turned it into a real masterpiece of art.
The black large Killer Wale is the focus in this piece, with the little salmons swimming all around him, each one is carved out of the wood, really deep cuts - very clean carving lines, detailed, traditional colors black and red. Just a grandiose centerpiece for every room or entrance.
